Nordic Food Lab's Rene Redzepi (Noma) Launches Two Day Pop-Up at Pestival

With horsemeat getting a firm no, will the British public take to eating insects instead? Pestival - a Wellcome Trust-baked insect appreciation festival taking place in April will give the  possibility of bug consumption centre stage.

Anyone luckily enough to have eaten at Scandinavian restaurant Noma's London pop up last year will remember the ants served over cabbage and creme fraiche. It seems only fitting then that chef Rene Redzepi's Nordic Food Lab, the team behind the award-winning Danish restaurant, are to launch a two day pop up restaurant at Pestival featuring some of their work with edible insects. Expect a plate full of fermented grasshoppers, moth larvae and more creepy crawlies.
