We hear Matt Levine and Michael Shah of Lower East Side spot
Sons of Essex are planning a pop-up club in the meatpacking, #HOOKxNail (hashtag intended), a lead-up to their forthcoming nightspot the Rowhouse Inn. Word is the temporary lounge on the third floor of 61 Gansevoort Street opens this weekend, running Friday and Saturday nights from 11 PM to 4 AM in the same building that will hold Rowhouse in the basement when it opens in a couple of months.
During the day, the 4,000-square-foot loft will function as an art gallery displaying the work of Ryan Keeley. Levine, who also owns boozy-juice joint
Cocktail Bodega, has been on a roll with the pop-up parties recently, hosting shindigs dubbed
One Night in Chinatown and
One Night at the Seaport as part of his #LESbeat series. Email
hookxnail@indiefork.com for reservations and more info.
