Martha Stewart appeared in NY State Supreme Court yesterday to defend her deal with J.C. Penney's, a move that had angered Macy's inciting a lawsuit (the store also has a contract to sell the lifestyle guru's wares). "We thought, and I hope rightly so, that we were allowed to do such a thing," Stewart told the court. Macy's CEO Todd Lundgren said in court, 'I was literally sick to my stomach.'
