Another day, another European gem cursed by poor location is scheduled to close on March 30. Leopold, the Belgian restaurant located on Chicago Ave. in Ukrainian Village, announced they sold the restaurant and will serve their last meal. According to owner Christy Agee the space will remain a restaurant with a new concept and ower. It is scheduled to reopen during the late spring or early summer. The announcement of Leopold’s closure means the availability of noteworthy Belgian-inspired fare is greatly decreases in Chicago from one to none.
