Last Chance for Pliny the Younger at Good Dog Bar and the P.O.P.E.

When Russian River Brewing distributes Pliny the Younger each winter, the limited release kegs come with an expiration date. In deference to this and also to overwhelming beer geek lust, most bars lucky enough to receive a sixtel or two tap them within a few days or weeks. Good Dog Bar held out, and will slide in just under the freshness wire with a PtY tapping at 3 PM this Thursday, March 28.

Head to the Center City pub to score a 10-oz. glass for $10 at the downstairs bar. Each person will be allowed one glass at a time, on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you’re a beer lover and can break away during the middle of the afternoon, Thursday is the day to do it (215-985-9600).

UPDATE: Looks like the Pub on Passyunk East also saved up, and will tap Pliny the Younger on April 1 at 7 PM. Thanks to Foobooz for the Twitter heads up.
