Haddington’s Closes, Will Relaunch as Easy Tiger Sister Restaurant

New American Haddington’s on West Sixth Street shuttered on Sunday, and as Eater Austin aptly says, it had “one of Austin’s worst cases of Chef Shuffle-it is.” The number of chefs who swung through the restaurant’s rotating doors pointed to the gastropub’s numbered days (Jacob Weaver, CT Turgeon, James Corwell and Zack Northcutt, who is now at Banger’s Sausage House and Beer Garden and Swift’s Attic).

Owner Michael Polombo told Eater Austin:

“After much consideration, it's become clear that Haddingtons American Tavern has to evolve. Austin has many well-executed dining options, and we were never able to fully recover from the initial difficulties we experienced.” 

The restaurant will relaunch in the future under the helm of Polombo’s business partner Scott Hentschel and his ELM Restaurant Group (Easy Tiger Beer Garden, 24 Diner).
