Paul Qui fans, ready, get set, buy your tickets NOW. The Austin Food & Wine Alliance is planning a five-course wine and dine dinner on March 21 at qui, the restaurant from the Top Chef winner and former Uchiko chef that’s so new it’s not even open yet. The catch? You have to be on the Alliance's subscriber email list to have access to the tickets.
From the subscriber email list:
Qui and Chef Tim Dornon, formerly chef de cuisine at Uchiko, have crafted a customized menu for the Wine & Dine dinner to reflect the restaurant’s focus on extreme seasonality. Award-winning sommelier June Rodil, QUI’s general manager, will pair each course with premium wines. The menu features a salad of guanciale, brassicas, seaweed and white beans; pan-roasted salmon with coconut, romanesco and sunchokes; and many other delicious-looking courses. Plus, a sneak peek of the new qui space!
If you’re not on the list, you’ll have another chance to get tickets during the online auction for six coveted seats, March 8 – 13, on the Alliance’s website.
Tickets are a weighty $250, and $100 is a direct donation to the Austin Food & Wine Alliance Grant Program.
