The barrage of food guides to SXSW is upon us, with the Huffington Post’s story “Eating Austin.” Author Greg Garrett “begs” visitors not to eat at 7/11 but to explore “why Austin is a world-class food city.”

On the list are classic old-school places like Chez Nous and the Driskill’s 1886 Bakery and Café as well as driving-distance locales like Justine’s and Uchiko. We agree that these are Austin highlights, but won’t they be slammed with techies and music lovers?
