First Look: Fusion Tacos and Cool Cocktails at Takito Kitchen

Takito Kitchen is only a few weeks away from bringing more tacos to Wicker Park. The twist? It will serve more than Mexican street food - it will incorporate fusion flavors in housemade tortillas. According to executive chef and partner David Dworshak, "Our food will be seasonal and support local farmers and producers. Our main focus of artisanal tacos lends itself to endless possibilities of ingredients, accompaniments and salsas. Aside from tacos, our plates will be intended for sharing, geared toward a more creative and healthier style of Latin American food."

The 75-seat space is hoping to open on March 20. It will also offer craft cocktails designed by beverage manager and partner Adam Weber, who has worked on the beverage programs at Trenchermen, Mercadito and Roka Akor. We got a sneak peek at some of the food and drinks that will be churned out of the open kitchen and cement bar - scope out some photos below.
