Drink Like the World’s Most Interesting Man at Cuba Libre on Sunday

Ernest Hemingway may well have been the prototype for that now-ubiquitous Dos Equis creation, “The World’s Most Interesting Man.” In addition to his famous novels, he traveled the world and had a great love of food and - especially - drink. On Sunday, March 10, at Cuba Libre, you can sip the cocktails he loved while learning more about the author’s life and liquor leanings.

Tickets to the Hemingway Cocktail Seminar are $50 per person, and include drinks mixed by bartender couple Phoebe Esmon and Christian Gaal. The duo will be making five different Ernest-inspired sips, and the Old City restaurant will also provide complementary small bites to go along.

The talk will be led by Museum of the American Cocktail co-founder Philip Greene, and included in the price is a copy of Greene’s book, titled To Have and Have Another - A Hemingway Cocktail Companion. The book contains info on Hemingway’s life and times along with 55 easy-to-follow drink recipes. Tickets are available here (6-8 PM; 215-627-0666).
