Opening day is coming up at Citi Field and before the Mets start their run for the season the stadium is rolling out a few new options courtesy of a NYC meat maven. Pat LaFrieda is expanding his beef offerings with two new options at the stadium. There will be steak sandwiches served at a second stand run by the purveyor on the promenade level behind home plate (Korean-style and short-rib buns will also be served).
Guests looking for a sit down experience will be able to chill out at Chop House, which is located at the Delta Sky360 Club. In addition to steaks there will be a burger at this venue, it's a ten ounce black angus blend of short rib and beef belly that's topped with onion rings, garlic-dill pickles, American cheese "red wine gastrique compressed tomato." Sounds like more of a winner than the team was last season.
