Based on the number of awards and tattoos Philip Speer boasts, we already knew the Uchi/Uchiko pastry chef was a rock star. Now to add to his list of accolades, he’s a finalist in the Chicago Restaurant Pastry Competition. Watch this “Signature Plated Dessert” episode from the competition, where Speer plates a signature dessert (we’re not telling which one, but it will make your mouth water).
