Centro Vinoteca Is The Latest West Village Shutter

The restaurant version of the grim reaper is making its way around the West Village. We recently reported that Leyla had closed down, and everyone was in a tizzy when they learned that 'ino had closed. According to a tipster, the latest that seems to have fallen is Centro Vinoteca. While it was not necessarily a dining destination anymore, this casual Italian still once played host to chefs Anne Burrell and Leah Cohen. The eatery's Open Table is "temporarily disabled" and a call placed found that the phone number redirected to nearby Gusto on Greenwich Avenue. This is prime Village real estate, so we'll stay tuned for developments surrounding the space.
