Batter Up: White Sox Kick-Off Season with New Food and Beer Offerings

American baseball and Chicago hot dogs go together as well as America and baseball or Chicago and hot dogs. In a little less than two weeks when the White Sox throw the first pitch of Opening Day, those in the stands will have the option to eat more than just hot dogs. Redeye reports, several new dishes will available at U.S. Cellular Field for the start of the season. These include The Comiskey Burger at Burger Barn. It is covered in a salsa-like topping made from classic Chicago-style hot dog fixings such as peppers, relish, tomato, onions and celery salt. A meatball sandwich and a barbecue pork sandwich called the Bull's BBQ will also appear on the menu. A dish that any broke college student is familiar with now can be enjoyed during games. It is called the Walking Taco and is created when a bag of Fritos is topped with chili, nacho cheese. We never said this was gourmet ballpark food. In the beverage department, the stadium is now vending more local beers including Two Brother’s Ebel's Weiss. So play ball, or just watch it while eating and drinking.
