The No. 1 cheesesteak destination in the country (in the world?) never fully shuts down, since Pat’s and Geno’s both sling meat 24 hours a day, seven days a week. However, there is a brief period just before sunrise when things quiet down, and employees have a chance to rid the sidewalks of stray fries and errant grease.
