DC Metro’s beer scene just keeps getting hoppier. Local breweries that have sprung up in recent years - including
Port City Brewing Company,
DC Brau, Chocolate City Beer and
3 Stars Brewing Company - will soon be joined by the blockbuster
Bluejacket Brewery from the
Neighborhood Restaurant Group. Next week the
Craft Brewers Conference is bringing the country’s top brewers to town, with a host of
events at beer venues around town. What’s more, the
DC Beer Festival, involving dozens of craft and international breweries, happens on March 24 at Nationals Park. Best of all, the area's top-flight beer venues are always on tap with exciting new choices for hops-hunters. March Madness coincides with craft beer events at many of these brew meccas, making it a great time to check them out. Here are some to try:
