Won’t You b. Mine? b. Patisserie Now Open in Pacific Heights

Just in time to heed the call of Valentine's Day, b. patisserie, Belinda Leong’s long-awaited high-end pastry shop in Pacific Heights has opened. Devotees of Leong (who racked up accolades for her baking wizardry at Gary Danko and Manresa) can now get a steady supply of her Viennese-style kouign amann, Francophile croissants, American candy-inspired macaroons and sundry frozen desserts, all of which are artfully splayed-out like food porn in custom marble-topped display cases, each maintained at the ideal temperature. In addition to the morning pastries and strong shots of Four Barrel coffee available for grab and go first thing in the day, the stylish 25-seat café boasts a handful of marble café tables for lingering and stays open until the evening proffering savories such open-faced tartine sandwiches on house-made levain bread and cheese sticks. Don’t miss the edible “macaroon tree” artwork hanging in the back, which will change seasonally.


Still looking for the perfect Valentine’s dessert? All week long, Leong is whipping a slate of larger-sized holiday-inspired treats such as the Bleeding Heart Kouign Amann for two (filled with red fruits) and choux a la Crème with Rice Krispy pearls and sable Breton croutons (pre-ordered required).
