Update: Texas de Brazil Out, Eataly In

Yesterday we brought news of the suit filed by the Shops at North Bridge to evict its tenant, Texas de Brazil, to make room for Eataly. The parties met today in court. It was determined that the owner does have the right to evict the Brazilian steakhouse, and according to the ruling, the restaurant will have 60 days to vacate the property.

But the legal battle may not be over. According to Chicago Real Estate Daily, Daniel Mathless, the lawyer for the steakhouse chain said, “We plan to appeal, and will see what happens. Regardless, (Texas de Brazil) would like to stay in Chicago near the North Loop, River North area.”

  1. I am sad to see Texas de Brazil go. I loved their food and their wine angels were entertaining to watch :(

  2. It's sad but they aren't the only Brazilian steakhouse. Go to Brazzaz they have more options at their salad bar and seafood.
