Thomas Keller and Charles Phan Vie for ICAP Cookbook Awards

Here’s a shout out to all our local talent who have been named as finalists in The International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP) annual awards. Bay Area scribes snapped up several nominations from the IACP, which honor achievements all manner of food writing from books to digital media. Of particular note, two top Bay Area chefs got nods for their latest cookbooks: Thomas Keller’s (The French Laundry, BouchonBouchon Bakery) latest book Bouchon Bakery earned nominations in the Chefs and Restaurants category and for best Food Photography, while Charles Phan (Slanted DoorWo Hing General Store), whose forthcoming venture, Hard Water, is slated to open next week), was sighted in the Chefs and Restaurants division for his book Vietnamese Home Cooking. The winners for all categories (see the complete list online) will be announced at an award’s ceremony on April 9.
