The Sound of Supper: 10 Arts Hosts Philly Pops Dinner

Food and wine pairing dinners are old hat, and even pairing dishes with beer or cocktails has been done before. But what about a mixed-media matchup? Even those of us who aren’t true synesthetes will be able to appreciate the meeting of music with cuisine at the first of a Peter Nero and the Philly Pops dinner series at 10 Arts.

Chef Nathan Volz will even pick up a bow for the first time in several years - he’s a former violinist - to join the Philly Pops quartet, though not until dessert, when he’s done preparing the five-course meal. Dishes that will accompany the live music, played throughout the Ritz Carlton dining room, include sunchoke velouté with lobster and spicy halibut.

A reservation will run $59 per person for food and entertainment, and wine pairings are available for an additional $36. Ever felt like a dish is so good it sings? This dinner will make it happen. Seats are expected to go quickly, so even though the dinner isn’t until Tuesday, February 26, music lovers should make reservations soon (215-523-8273).
