The latest addition to Michael Chernow and Daniel Holzman’s
Meatball Shop empire opens tonight at 200 Ninth Avenue between 22nd and 23rd Street, a 60-seater which is the first Manhattan location with a full liquor license. The Chelsea branch also debuts bratwurst balls, orbs made with house made sausage and accompanied with a beer mustard sauce. More ball-breaking news:
Underballs, a 20-seat first-come, first-serve bar located underneath the restaurant, will serve the full Meatball Shop menu and is also available for private parties (212-257-4363).
