Good ideas but you need a lesson in geography - Castle Rock is not Denver nor is Colorado Springs

ReplyDeleteI love to eat burgers with chips. Cheesy burgers always make my mouth water. I like a lot of meat in my burger.
ReplyDeleteDon't listen to this list. I mean I'm sure these are good places, but everyone knows that Hodad's has the best burgers in San Diego (In N Out? Come on! That's unfair to SD!), and the one listed for Chicago is in Evanston, a (shudder) suburb. And Chicago has some damn good burgers to boot (Kuma's, Au Cheval, Owen & Engine, The Lockdown...just off the top of my head). So, this list is a nice try, guys. You got Boston right, at least.
ReplyDeleteRay's is in North Arlington, not DC. Good luck finding Wilson Blvd in the District. Make this a destination if you are in town, it simply slaughters.

ReplyDeleteHire's Big H? Are you kidding? I'd put the lucky 13 bar and burger up against any of the 25 you listed. It's in Salt lake city and is the best burger in the country. They just won some contest in Las Vegas for "best burger in the USA".
ReplyDeleteBig Miss is Sausalito's "hamburger"(opposite ferry dock and BofA) classic, under $10, over inch thick, holeinthewall, lineoutthedooralways, Best in SF Bay Area I say!!
ReplyDeleteTake the ferry behind the famous 1906 quake survivor Ferry bldg. ,or Fisherman's Wharf, cheap w subsidy from GG bridge car tolls.
Closes at 5pm so get there by 430, Boy Scout's honor, a great cheese burger !!

ReplyDeleteI CANNOT BELIEVE there is not 1 Connecticut burger spot on this list. Louis' Lunch invented the burger and uses original cast-iron grills dating back to 1898, you can tell that many national burger franchises have copied part or all of the Shady Glen concept, and Ted's is the only known restaurant in the US to exclusively serve (award winning I might add) steamed burgers. True US foodies, you should be ashamed of yourselves! ;)

DeleteThey got Boston ALL WRONG. Bartley's is a craphole whose reputation is unfathomable. Basically, your 1950s style thin patty grilled a la McDonald's, on a lousy, flimsy white bread bun.

Completely wrong. In and Out Burger made the cut but Urban Stack in Chattanooga didn't?? I can't trust this list...

ReplyDeleteI really "enjoyed" this "article" as most of "descriptions" of the "burgers" made me "hungry." Also the use of "quotation marks" totally didn't make me want to "punch" someone. Also, your burger selection is "terrible."
