Parea Bistro got a little spruce up earlier this week, relaunching as the more meat-centric Parea Prime. The rebooted restaurant is now serving steaks and chops from Pat LaFrieda - while they are keeping the Greek influence that was the former incarnation's focus, the new push here will be on steakhouse-style fare, think 22-ounce bone-in rib-eyes and a raw bar selection of clams, oysters and shrimp cocktail (36th E. 20th St.).Gramercy's
We also have word from the Upper West Side that a new bakery is open in the space that used to house the beloved Soutine. That spot's shutter late last year saddened many sugar addicts, so the new joint has some big shoes to fill in the miniscule space. It's dubbed Pain d'Epices and is now open at 104 West 70th St.
