Our Austin: Din Ho Chinese Barbecue
Austin is a bit, shall we say, lacking in Chinese food. Except for Din Ho. The Chinese barbecue restaurant has been an Austin staple for about 15 years, and it consistently turns out great Peking duck and barbecue pork, among other classic dishes, all in generous portions.
The spot has a huge following, despite its flaws (service and cleanliness), which have inspired colorful “open letters” and much debate. But overall Austinites agree that this is the place to chow down.
Go with a large group to try as many dishes as possible and to take advantage of the lazy Susan.
