Opa Celebrates Two Years With $2 Menu on Sunday

Two years ago, brother-and-sister team George and Vasiliki Tsiouris launched modern taverna Opa on Sansom Street in Midtown Village and haven’t stopped to look back. To celebrate, a special menu of $2 food, beer and cocktails will be on offer all day on Sunday, February 10 (the bar opens at 1 PM).

Swing by the European-style lounge and dining room for lamb croquettes, gyros, baklava, Dale’s Pale Ales, ouzo shots and quite a bit more, all just two bucks a pop. We’re not surprised at the restaurant’s success, since in addition to tasty Greek food and a solid bar, the spot is as stylish as Vasiliki (a mainstay at all of Philly’s hot events) but also as friendly as George (a serious nice guy). Raise a glass and say “Opa!”
