New York City Dining Deals and Events: February 4 to 10

Monday, February 4

Recently opened Louro in the West Village will play host to the Supper Bowl today, a guest chef series coordinated by Underground Eats. Today some big names will be in the house, including George Mendes, Sean Brock and David Santos. Tickets are $150, get info here.

Tuesday, February 5

Now that you're recovered from that Super Bowl hangover, you can drop by MexiBBQ for its newly launched craft beer happy hour. Every night the bar will serve a selection of brews for only $4 from 5 to 7 PM. If you don't watch the suds, you can also score $5 margaritas and $7 bites.

Wednesday, February 6

Chef Terrance Brennan is celebrating fondue month in February, and each day his restaurant Artisanal will serve a different variety. Today it's a raclette, and 10 percent of the proceeds will be donated to a local charity.

Thursday, February 7

Kick of your Mardi Gras celebrations at Die Koelner Bierhalle, which will be hosting a series of events in honor of the Cologne Karneval. The theme of the events is "The Clown," and clown attire is encouraged. Gentlemen that stop by tonight to enjoy some Radeberger should be warned: it's women's Carnival Day, and a set of shears will be in the house to clip off any neckties.

Friday, February 8

New York Restaurant Week finishes up today, so head out to one of the hundreds of participating venues to have a $25 three-course lunches and $38 three-course dinners. Get the list of participating venues here.

Saturday, February 9

Stop by Pera SoHo to do some charitable drinking. The Mediterranean eatery is hosting a promotion from 9:30 PM to 1:30 AM dubbed Give Back Saturday. Ten percent of the bar tab will be donated to charity (organizations will rotate) so go ahead and have another round.

Sunday, February 10

Five of New York City's best female chefs will be cooking up a storm at Chelsea Piers for the annual Cochon555 competition, but only one of them will be crowned the princess of pork and move on to the national cook off this summer in Aspen. Each chef will prepare five dishes, and guests will be able to taste all the dishes and get boozed up on punch. The party starts at 4 PM and tickets are still available.
