More Details About The Clove Club Opening in Shoreditch Town Hall

It made our list of the most anticipated restaurant opening of 2013 and as the opening date draws closer (March 4) we have more details to reveal about The Clove Club - a new permanent space in Shoreditch Town Hall from the Ten Bell Boys (Daniel Willis, Johnny Smith and chef Isaac McHale who also run the restaurant Upstairs at The Ten Bells).

Named after a supper club in Dalston started by two of the founders, The Clove Club is a bar and restaurant - simply designed to retain many of the original Edwardian features of the building. The 40-cover restaurant will serve a five-course menu of British seasonal dishes with a twist like warm fennel with seaweed and walnut cream, roast rib of Hereford beef with wild garlic aioli, warm cider and ginger mousse and finished off with homemade teacakes and coffee. Lunch for those in the rush will be just one hearty plate and dessert and there will also be a separate menu of larger plates for sharing and snacks like buttermilk fried chicken & pine salt and cured meats available at the bar.

380 Old St., EC1V 9LT; 020 7729 6496 (reservation lines open at 9 AM on February 18)
