A new Japanese has soft-opened in the space that used to house Allegretti and short-lived Silk Rd. Tavern. Industry watchers love to whisper that this is one of those cursed restaurant spaces but Mira Sushi is getting ready to make a go for it. There is a menu of standard sushi rolls and a wide selection of small plates that are good for sharing - think pork belly, bugolgi sliders, wontons and dumplings. Entrees include rice and noodle bowls like berkshire pork, vegetables and egg. You can take a look at the full menu here, the restaurant is open at 46 West 22nd St. (212-989-7889).
