More good enticing news for our South Bay friends. Diners who don’t want to make the trek up to Roland Passot’s flagship San Francisco restaurant La Folie can get up close and personal with the acclaimed chef tonight at the Menlo Park branch of his French-inflected meat-centric chainlet LB Steak. For one-night only, Passot will be working in the South Bay kitchen overseeing the evening’s special four-course, wine-paired prix fixe menu. Per his style, the affable chef will also be visiting tables in the dining room, as will master sommelier Eric Entrikin. There is still some space available, but we suggest if you want in, make reservations tout de suite. ($145 per person, excluding tax and tip, 898 Santa Cruz, Menlo Park, 650-321-8980; the regular a la carte menu will be available as well).
