Lee Napoli to Open Bread & Butter in the North End

Lee Napoli teaches chocolate-making at Chocolee

Longtime pastry chef and chocolatier Lee Napoli is slated to open a fast-casual bakery and cafe concept  called Bread & Butter in the North End by Marathon Day on April 15, according to Eater.

Lesser, a restaurateur and nightclub owner who counts Storyville, Vine Brook Tavern, Sweet Cheeks and Tavern Road among his flock, is also behind Bread & Butter.

The 25-or-so seat bakery cafe will be at 64 Cross Street in the North End, the former location of Caffe Graffiti. The fast-casual concept will offer pastries, such as croissants, fresh breads, sandwiches and coffee throughout the day. Chocolate production will also be part of the concept.

“We’re looking at other spaces in addition to this one,” Lesser told Zagat. “But we’re going to get this one open first.”

Napoli currently operates a chocolate shop, Chocolee Chocolates, in the South End.
