|Banana split crêpes at Kanela|
Owners Alexi Giannoulias and Chris Lardakis kept a few favorites on the menu though, like the bougasta (phyllo dough, lemon custard, berries) and loukoumades (fried dough, lemon-honey syrup, toasted walnuts). These may have something to do with those very Greek last names. Less ethnic options include Kanela’s signature breakfast burger, Kanela chip pancakes and the bacon waffle. If you bring a few friends, also consider feasting on flights of French toast.
Bonus! It is BYOB, with a $10 corkage fee, so bring some booze for mimosas with any of the juice blends. Or don’t bring friends, and bring a computer, because it offers free wi-fi and coffee from Julius Meinl.
