Jonathan Benno's Pizza Isn't the Only New Grub at Macy's

The other day we told you about some new pizzas coming to the top floor of Macy's, courtesy of Lincoln Ristorante's Jonathan Benno. Well - that's not the only Italian-inspired newcomer that will make a home for itself in the famous department store. Vivoli Il Gelato is set to open its first-ever location outside of Florence in the next couple weeks on the sixth floor alongside with Benno's Stella 34 Trattoria (though it's technically part of that eatery, it will operate as a stand-alone as well). If you're not familiar with the gelato maker, they've been serving in Italy since the 1930s, and is a must-stop destination for foodie visitors.

The NYC-based outpost will serve a rotating list of nine gelati and three sorbetti. Expect flavors like ananas (pineapple), pera (baked Bosc pear) and mandarino (tangerine) which you can indulge in after you take the same dedicated elevator at 35th and Broadway that will be in use for Stella 34 (151 West 34th St.).
