|Il Panino Express, formerly Gail's Cafe & Grill, in Jamaica Plain|
Il Panino Express, which closed at 264 Hanover St. in the North End, is being rebranded as Ristorante Quattro. The new spot will offer authentic Neapolitan pizza, handmade pasta, a selection of sfizi and entrees. The table service restaurant will also offer a selection of beer, wine and cordials in a warm and inviting atmosphere.
In the meantime, those who are missing those Il Panino sandwiches, subs, salads and pizzas can find them at DePasquale’s Homemade Pasta Shoppe at 62a Cross St. in the North End and at a new Il Panino Café and Grill at 270 Centre St., former home to Gail’s Café & Grill, in Jamaica Plain. Fan's of Gail's though should not worry - you can still get Gail’s items like burgers, BBQ items, and seafood plates (617-942-2096). The new il Panino in JP has about 20 seats, mostly takeout, no beer and wine.
