Hawaiian Luau, Sushi & Cocktails, Wine Dinner on Tap for Monday

We know this coming Monday, February 18, is a holiday. Don’t you love long weekends? So, we’re giving you some great dining ideas for then. All events are Monday evening.

Andy Husbands, chef-owner of Tremont 647, has perfect timing with his hosting a Hawaiian Luau, where guests will get a taste of the island with Plantation rum mai tais, hors d’oeuvres and a three-course, family-style meal focused around a pig roast. Should be enough tropical fun to melt the snow (6 PM; $29.50 per person; 617-266-4600).


The Hawthorne, that oh-so-chic cocktail lounge in Kenmore Square, is teaming up with Café Sushi to create a four-course and seven-course sushi tasting paired with creative cocktails. The evening features two seatings: the four-course at 5:30 PM ($75 per person) and seven courses (9 PM; $100 per person; click here for your tickets; 617-532-9150).

Head to Legal Harborside in the Seaport for a special four-course dinner paired with the California wines of Far Niente. Dirk Hamspon, chairman and director of winemaking, will be on-hand to lead diners through the evening, which will take place in the second-floor dining room with a view of Boston Harbor. Get there on time as the evening starts with hors d’oeuvres of foie gras Benedict and bone marrow toast with chimichurri and caramelized apples (6:30 PM; $135, excluding tax or gratuity; 617-530-9470).
