Harlem Shake Industry Night at Alla Spina

Who knew Michael Solomonov could shake it? Check out the chef showing his moves in the video above, where you’ll also see Alla Spina general manager Steve Wildy getting down - though in a rather different style. It’s all a leadup to the next Vetri Family Industry Night, a celebration of the death of the Harlem Shake.

The guest host this month is Cook + Solo Restaurants, which means the spread - free for anyone with a food industry pay stub - will include shish kebabs and laffa from Zahav, brisket sliders from Percy Street Barbecue and fresh hot donuts from the donut robot of Federal Donuts. Alla Spina will also lay out, offering squid-saffron fregola pasta, beer-BBQ-rib sandwiches and maple-fried-chicken "bocconcini."

If you come to Alla Spina in Harlem Shake costume, you’ll get one free beer on the house, and there will also be drink specials available throughout the event, which starts at 10 PM. Look for Israeli Gold Star Lager, Arcadia Sky High, Oskar Blues Dale’s Pale Ale and assorted specialty cocktails. Let’s all gather to drink the Harlem Shake meme to its timely death.
