Gordon Ramsay Hands Over the UK Trademark for The Spotted Pig

Remember the controversy last year when Gordon Ramsay applied for the UK trademark on the name of New York restaurant, The Spotted Pig?

Today is has emerged that Gordon Ramsay Holdings International Ltd. has in fact been awarded the U.K. trademark for the restaurant but immediately handed it over to owners  Mario Batali and April Bloomfield.

“We have been liaising with The Spotted Pig in New York for some months, and had arranged for the trademark to be passed to them once it was registered. This has now happened” Ramsay said in a statement today.

There's a big food fight that never happened.
