Okay, you’ve heard of the term “friends with benefits” - we’re not talking about that kind. That kind gets messy. and this is special: five non-profit leaders - The Boston Bruins Foundation, College BOUND Dorchester, The Doug Flutie, Jr. Foundation for Autism, The Ellie Fund, and The International RETT Syndrome Foundation - are getting together for a Second Annual “Friends with Benefits” Gala at the State Room on April 25.
The gala evening, hosted by the charitable arm of Longwood Events, includes tastings by some of the city’s top chefs and restaurants, drinks, and silent and live auctions. Restaurants include Abby Park, The Painted Burro, Darryl’s Corner Bar & Kitchen, Farmstead Table, Restaurant dante, The State Room and more.
What you’ll get in the auction: four tickets to a 2013 Notre Dame football game with pre-game on-field access package in South Bend; four tickets to a pre-game of Red Sox vs. Astros game and a meet and greet with Eduardo Perez (April 26, 27 or 28); two tickets to a 2013 Baltimore Ravens vs. New England Patriots game in Baltimore, including hotel stay; and a Nantucket getaway package including hotel, restaurants and travel.
