Ready to get your mind blown? Select press and insiders got an invite to an exclusive first taste of the new Taco Bell Cool Ranch Doritos Locos tacos today in NYC. But where you ask? None other than a Chelsea flower shop (that shall remain nameless!!) in which we had to offer a secret password in exchange for the tacos. No joke. A single shining Cool Ranch Doritos Locos taco was presented to us in flower basket (early Valentine's day prez?) and we were off to give it a first bite. Check out what we thought of the new item after the jump.
Appearance-wise, the thing looks no different than any ordinary Taco Bell taco. When it comes to taste, the Cool Ranch Doritos flavor adds something that the regular Doritos shell doesn't. If you recall from our
taste-test of the original Doritos Locos, the taste is not much different than a regular Taco Bell taco, with an extra punch of cheesiness at the end. The Cool Ranch seasoning actually adds another layer of flavor taco in a good way. The tacos will be available to the public beginning on March 7. Until then, we suggest you can abate your cravings by making your own nachos with a bag of Cool Ranch Doritos?
