East Passyunk Gets a Restaurant Week

It may be last day of Center City Restaurant Week, but there’s something new to look forward to. East Passyunk has just announced its first-ever Restaurant Week, to be held Sunday, February 24 through Saturday, March 2. Instead of a single set price, participating dining rooms can opt to offer a three-course meal for either $15, $25 or $35. This means some serious deals will be available at some of the hottest restaurants in South Philly.

For example, you’ll be able to enjoy a robust $15 lunch at red-sauce haven Marra’s, including a soup or salad, a main course like capellini with lump crab meat and a chunk of cheesecake for dessert. Score an impressive $25 dinner at Cantina Los Caballitos that takes you from empanadas to roasted pork loin to coffee flan - the Mexican restaurant will even throw in a tequila pairing to each dish for an extra $10.

At the $35 price point, you’ll have access to the fine-dining stars of the Avenue, including Le Virtù (where you’ll find Joe Cicala’s 60-foot maccheroni alla mugnaia), Will (Chris Kearse’s milk-fed poulard), Fond (Lee Styer’s roasted mushroom risotto) and Izumi (duck and foie gras dumplings). Reservations are highly recommended, these seats will sell out fast.
