Drink Your Bacon: National Pig Day Happy Hour at Amada on Friday

The only things missing are piled-high plates of pork and you
Tomorrow, March 1, is officially National Pig Day, and Amada is celebrating. Jose Garces’ Old City tapas house is hosting a special pig-themed Friday happy hour, stocked with a variety of pork-enhanced cocktails ($8) and plenty of pig-sourced nibbles ($2-$5).

On the drink side, look forward to the Desayuno (maple-aged whiskey, Carpano Antica vermouth and candied bacon) and the Carne Tremula (Tito’s vodka, chicharones, pickled carrot and horseradish crema). Pair them with foie-gras-bacon mousse, octopus-pork-belly brochettes, housemade head cheese and other porkful bites. On this day, you’re allowed to pig out (5-7 PM; 215-625-2450)
