Darryl's in the South End Celebrates Black History Month on Monday

After you recover from Super Bowl Sunday, gear up for a special evening at Darryl’s Corner Bar & Kitchen on Monday evening, February 4. The American restaurant with a Southern twist is hosting distinguished African-American leaders - Mel King, city councilor Ayanna Pressley and representative Byron Rushing - for a commemorative forum at the South End spot. Owner of Darryl’s, Darryl Settles, will host the evening and engage the panel in a discussion of black history in Boston. Light refreshments will be served, but folks can also order off the menu à la carte - short ribs, jambalaya - and toast to Black History Month (5:30-8:30 PM; free and open to the public; 617-536-1100).
