Bludso's Bar & Que, the
new bbq and cocktail joint from Jason Bernstein, James Starr and Noah Galuten from
The Golden State (this year's
top burger winner in LA), and Kevin Bludso, whose Texasd-style
Bludso's BBQ is often touted as the best in town, will debut on February 11. Expect all sorts of smoked and grilled meats, great classic cocktails and a well-curated list of craft brews. The space has been completely overhauled, and if there's one thing you can tell from that sign: there's absolutely no shred of evidence that it was ever Mark Peel's Art Deco-inspired Tar Pit (609 N. La Brea Ave.).
