Coffee Talk With Josef Centeno

In honor of Coffee Week here at Zagat, we're talking to some of LA's most caffeinated culinarians to see when, where and what they're drinking. Roy Choi makes the rounds to the city's top coffeehouses, but likes his NesCafe just the same. Golden State's Jason Bernstein waxes poetic on where his coffee comes from vs. what brand he's drinking. And now, Josef Centeno, who doesn't stray far from his two downtown restaurants, Baco Mercat and Bar Ama.

When do you have your first cup of coffee?
At about 8 in the morning.

What do you drink (espresso, cappuccino, latte, etc.)?
Latte.

Coffeeshop or at home?
Both but we are down the street from Spring for Coffee, so that is our go to. They're all a good group of people.

How many cups to you drink a day?
2-4

What's your favorite brand?
We rotate a lot, but we are drinking Sight Glass at the moment.

Coffee goes best with... Hans Rockenwagner multi-grain scone.
