Monday
Mondays are rough, but they get a little less awful with a free cup of coffee from Vanille in the Chicago French Market. Their new Monday special is a few cup of Jo with the purchase of any bakery item – from croissants to Danishes (773-868-4574).

Tuesday
The French are invading! It’s OK, they brought beer. Brewers from Brasserie Pietra and Jenlain will be visiting The Publican on Monday and Hopleaf on Tuesday with unique brew such as Jenlain Ambrée, a malty French farmhouse ale, and Pietra Colomba, a bottom-fermented, unfiltered white beer (312-733-9555, 773-334-9851).

Wednesday
Celebrate "National Tortellini Day" at Benny's Chop House with housemade pasta. The steakhouse will feature its butternut squash tortelloni which is finished table-side with freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano (312-626-2444).

Thursday
Attention all last minute Valentine’s Day shoppers, Fleur will be hosting a pop-up flower shop at Gaslight Coffee Roaster on Thursday from 7 AM to noon. Anyone who wakes up with the sudden realization that it’s Valentines Day can pick up a bouquet for his or her sweetheart along with morning coffee.

Friday
Markethouse kicks off Lent with a Friday Fish Fry. Each friday through the end of March, chef Chef De’Ann Wellwerts offers an all-you-can-eat Bell's Ale battered Atlantic pollack and chips for $20 (312-224-2200).

Saturday
The newest addition to the pop-up scene, Feast & Imbibe, are hosting a seven-couse Valentine's Day menu beginning with caviar and ending with truffles. The dinners take place on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. It costs $195 including wine pairings, a special cocktail by FEW spirits and champagne toast.

Sunday
March Madness may be around the corner, but the only bracket we care about is the 2013 Bar Joust at Double A. The first round has begun with eight pairs of bartenders competing to sell the most cocktails. Winners move on and losers return to their respective bars. Face-offs take place every Sunday and Monday night for the next month (312-329-9555).
