Chef Matt Edwards (St. John Hotel, Hix Soho) Opens Master & Servant

Opening next week (Monday, March 4) on the site of the former Yelo Thai restaurant in Hoxton Square is Master & Servant - the first solo venture from the former St. John Hotel and Hix Soho chef, Matt Edwards.

Inspired by the chef's time at St. John Hotel, this new British/American grill restaurant will specialise in a seasonal menu with a focus on nose-to-tail cooking from a charcoal grill. Signature dishes include surf clam chowder, ox cheek with celeriac and horseradish, Hereford porterhouse for two, crab claws and chipotle mayonnaise, followed by pistachio doughnuts in honey syrup.

The downstairs cocktail bar will serve snacks including potted haddock with pickled cucumber and back fat on toast with caper leaves, as well as exotic sounding cocktails and an extensive selection of European wines. Reservation lines are now open.
