On April 11, nine of Boston’s finest chefs will gather to dish out their signature bites at The Residences at W Boston to raise money for The Massachusetts Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Joanne Chang (Myers & Chang; Flour Bakery), Brian Reyelt (Citizen Public) and Justin Winters (Cinquecento) are among those participating. On Thursday, April 18, Boston Center for Adult Education (BCAE) will host its second annual fundraiser: “What’s Your Beef?” Upwards of a half dozen chefs will pesent various cuts of the cow and discuss and demonstrate how to cook them. For example, Michael Scelfo of Russell House Tavern will show what he can do with short ribs; Tiffani Faison of Sweet Cheeks will cook up brisket; and Douglas Rodrigues of Clio Restaurant and Louie DiBiccari of Storyville and Tavern Road deal with the round cut and the shank. The evening includes tasty dishes, cocktails and a live auction hosted by NECN’s Jenny Johnson. The proceeds go to the Jordan S. Ruboy M.D. Financial Aid Program, which offers scholarships to students in need and tuition vouchers for the BCAE's partnered social services agencies.
