We took a twirl by to see what changes they've made to the space - gone are the globular light fixtures, and the thin white chairs help the space feel open. There's still a marble bar for drinks and the circular columns that instigated complaints of feeling "closed off" are still there. Maxime Paul-Mercier from Villa Pacri in the Meatpacking District is involved as a partner, you can get a sneak peek at the space on his Instagram account. The cuisine is French with American influences and the menu is by chef Marcel Angez. Hopefully this joint will have better luck than Ellabess - check it out at 30 Kenmare St. (212-966-2740).
