The legendary restaurateur will be fêted with an epic-sounding feast from 6:30 to 9:00 PM on March 4 at Pier Sixty at Chelsea Piers. More than 40 chefs will be participating and cooking up dishes, including Marcus Samuelsson (who also served as the event's chef chair), Tom Colicchio, Bill Telepan, Masaharu Morimoto and Wylie Dufresne, and proceeds from the event will benefit the nonprofit organization's mission of providing opportunities in the culinary industry for disadvantaged youth.
