| We'll always have the Berlinetta Lounge |
Sticking with the dinner-and-a-movie movie theme for a minute (don’t miss your chance to slurp ramen and
watch Tampopo this Friday), celeb chef
Charlie Palmer is hosting a Humphrey Bogart-themed party tomorrow night at his Downtown San Francisco film noir-inspired Mystic Hotel (the upstairs
Burritt Room and
Burritt Tavern are named after nearby Burritt Alley, the location of the famous murder scene in
The Maltese Falcon). The festivities, which will be taking place in the hotel's speakeasy-esque private
Berlinetta Lounge (shown above), include sparkling wine from around the world, passed hors d’ouevres and food stations, and three Bogie films (
Casablanca,
The Maltese Falcon and
The Big Sleep) playing on the flat screen TVs (Thursday, 6-9 PM, $55 per person, reserve
via email or 415-400-0554; see the full menu here).
