BBQ may be considered summer fare, but during when it's cold out, it's hearty enough to sustain you, and as a bonus, is a reminder of happier (at least warmer) times. Fletcher's is part of the burgeoning Gowanus scene, bringing ribs, pork steak, chopped pork, brisket and more to Brooklyn locals. While some have complained about the prices, from our recent visit we could tell it's a high-quality product. The meats are nicely cooked and flavored, and there are a few sauce options to kick things up if you so choose. And one can't forget about the sides. Our favorites included the pit-smoked baked beans which offered a good savory/sweet balance, while the pickles helped cut some of the fat (347-763-2680).
